How
200Grs. was born

200Grs. was founded on a deep fascination with the city as an object, an urban-scale installation, and an industrial design. Cofounders Rana Haddad and Pascal Hachem aimed to create pieces that incorporate local craftsmanship and artisanal skills that are at risk of disappearing. Their goal is to challenge limitations and adapt existing knowledge to contribute positively to the vitality and growth of their city, Beirut. In addition to their focus on local craftsmanship and artisanal skills, 200Grs. recognizes the importance of blending traditional knowledge with advancements in robotics and technology. By combining the expertise of craftsmen with the capabilities of automation, they strive to create innovative and sustainable solutions.

This approach allows them to leverage the best of both worlds, preserving traditional techniques while embracing the potential of modern tools and techniques. While maintaining a playful approach, 200Grs. also embraces the principles of the new circular economy. By considering the entire lifecycle of our products, we aim to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency.Through innovative design and material choices, we strive to create pieces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally sustainable. By incorporating elements of upcycling, recycling, and reusability, we contribute to the circular economy by reducing our ecological footprint and promoting a more responsible and regenerative approach to production and consumption.
